Summary of Financial World Cup in Stockholm 2013.
Moscow took their first victory in the Financial World Cup after defeating the upcoming, World Series winner Team Asia, in the final with 4-1. The Team Captain of the new Champions Konstantin Issakow said proudly that this shows that Russia is back in business. He also took the initiative to organize the tournament next year in Belarus. The preliminary date are the Friday 23 May in Minsk.
Both second placed Team Asia, led by Japanese Taro Nihei and Johan Lindgren, and the third placed Stockholm Team, led by Nichlas Fhärm SEB and Anders Westerlund showed a strong tournament performance this year. Helsinki became fourth and the Stockholm Capitals took the fifth spot. Team Oslo are under consideration and will might go down to the B-Pool next season....
Story of the Tournament
The new All Star Team player Christoffer Brandorf working for the Norwegian ABG Sundal Collier had a fantastic work on his day. He started the day with coming to the Ice Arena founding out that all of his teammates in the Oslo team instead went for 17 May celebraition. However after some negotiations between the big Oil companies, and the Swedish own Oil Barons Eric Fors and Ulrik Jansson, he was transfered to the Moscow team, where he become World Champion and gained a place in the All Star Team...
NEW MEMBERS IN HALL OF FAME
This years new members in the Hall Of Fame are The finnish twins Timo and Allan Suonperä from the "Slow Motion Team" together with Anders Westerlund who have played all tournaments since 2002.
